Jenny's charming little sister Sara was visiting us from North Carolina and agreed to watch the boys so we could have a date night to the cinema. What a perfect house guest! We went to see Parasite, the Korean film that recently cleaned up at the Oscars. Neither of us knew much about it, which is just the way I like it! It's also what I want for you, dear reader.
Which is why I'm not going to say much about it. It was everything I wanted from a theater experience. I laughed, gasped in shock, felt the kind of suspense that twists up my insides, and had no idea what would happen next. When the credits rolled, Jenny and I sat with the rest of the theater (which was full) in dumbfounded silence for what felt like minutes. Seriously, nobody got up for a while.
If you like something a little dark (but not too dark) that gets you thinking about class, privilege, ambition, and the lengths to which some people will go to maintain a deceit, check this one out. If you've already seen it, let's talk about it.
Thanks for reading!
Kyle
