Tress is the first Sanderson book I’ve read and I was pleasantly surprised too! I’m always worried when grown men write teen girls but she was a fun character
I almost couldn't believe it was the same guy who wrote Mistborn. The tone is vastly different. I caution others who have only read Tress that his other books are not as whimsical. But he has awesome female characters in each book and they're not awesome in the same way. The dude has range and isn't just playing one note over and over.
