Godspeed on your native planting venture! I hadn't thought about this level of sustainable living or the point of sustainable LIFE. Appreciate you bringing this into my thought process! My challenge will be applying the idea to condo living.
Thanks Bob. I tend to dream big and struggle with follow through, so I appreciate the encouragement. If you figure out a way to apply it to condo living, I’d love to hear about your success!
We live right next to a long greenbelt trail. Just shy of half of it is native grass. The rest is a noxious invasive weed called skeleton weed. Along with that greenbelt there is a church with a huge plot of land that hasn't been overtaken by skeleton weed, but they mow most of it down to the nub. A thought I had is trying to figure out how to get my city and that church to let the native grasses grow and to restore where they have lost out to the weeds. On top of that, working with our HOA to figure out ways to xeriscape better is another thought, along with finding native plants that will work well on the patio.
Hey Colton -- not really. He talks about how it can work in cities but now that you mention apartments specifically, nothing is coming to mind. I could have missed it or skimmed past it though. On the whole, there isn't so much practical or "here's how you do it" but more "this is why you should do it and how it works." I think knowing the why is supposed to motivate a reader to research and carry out the how for their specific circumstance.
Please do. Biodiversity is very important :)

Curious if there’s any tips for apartment living? Sounds like a great read regardless!
