The musical adaptation of Wicked was definitely far from the book but I guess most of the book is not fit for a musical. But I love the musical and I like how the story went. I also loved the book but got bored by the sequel. What did you think about the book?
I also enjoyed the book in a completely different way than I enjoyed the musical. I find the whole thing fascinating and I want to research and write more about it. In the same way that L. Frank Baum's book wasn't faithfully adapted to the 1939 movie, Maguire's book wasn't faithfully adapted either and yet both adaptations are way more popular than their respective books.
I'm currently reading a book called The Fell. I randomly picked it up from a used book store/coffee shop in Boulder last weekend. I'm usually one to research and read way too many reviews before I start reading any book, so this was out of character for me. But it was a fun change!
I agree with your comments on Emilia Perez. I tried to watch it twice and couldn't get past 5 minutes. The answer to your question is hype and the fear that most people will be excluded from the "in club" if they don't go along with the herd. Its referred to as " dumbing diwn".
😂😂 It Ends With Us 😂 and I agree Dune 2 is arguably even more impressive than part 1 so it’s sad that it got snubbed!
The oscar noms this year are so BORING. Agree with the head scratchers and exclusions here! Justice for Dune 2.

I hope that isn't all that is happening, but I don't know. I'm still trying to watch Emilia Perez and plan on finishing and then forming an opinion.
